Alberta Givens, 65, of Lee’s Summit died Sunday, Jan. 25, 2009, in Lee’s Summit.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, at St. Matthew AME Church in Boonville. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery in Boonville. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.

Alberta Givens was born Nov. 1, 1943, in Boonville, the daughter of Vernice Givens.

Survivors include one son, Rodney B. Givens of Lee’s Summit; five sisters, Shirley Givens of Kansas City, the Rev. Virginia Council of Boonville, Yvonne Jackson of Raytown, Veda Givens of Lee’s Summit and Pam Dowe of Boonville.
