Rowena Odneal, 1929-2009

Rowena E. Odneal, 88, of Boonville passed away Friday morning, Jan. 16, 2009, at Cooper County Memorial Hospital.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 19 at Bunceton Federated Church with Rev. Scott Ehrlich and Rev. Lewis Odneal officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 9 a.m. until time of the service. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Boonville.

Rowena Elizabeth Odneal was born in Bunceton on Feb. 23, 1920, the daughter of Lawrence Spahr and Grace Gander Spahr.

She married Royal Lacy Odneal on June 3, 1939 and he preceded her in death in 1973.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Don and Jane Odneal of Jefferson City and Alice and Rich Langkop of Boonville; grandchildren, Mitch and Lori Odneal of Jefferson City, Robert and Becky Odneal of Ashland, Christine and Bart Fuhlage of Fayette and Callie and Mike Glascock of Ashland.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Dorothy Marie Odneal; brother, Jack Spahr; and sister, Ann Dover.
