Parents of the bride are Gene and Pat Gerke of Columbia.

The future bride, a 2001 graduate of Hickman High School, received a degree in elementary education from Missouri State University in Springfield in 2005. She is a teacher in McKee, Ky.

The future groom, a 1998 graduate of G. Holmes Braddock High School in Miami, received a master of divinity degree from Catholic Theologic Union in Chicago in 2006. He is a pastoral associate in McKee.
