The school district last week announce it removed about 3,360 peanut butter cracker packages related to the recent Food and Drug Administration recall because of a concern about salmonella contamination.

Man stabbed in chest in robbery attempt
Columbia police yesterday were looking for a man who stabbed a pedestrian in the chest during a robbery near downtown late Friday.

Two teens accused in mailbox vandalism
Two 15-year-olds were taken into custody on suspicion of stealing and vandalism on Friday night for allegedly stealing mail and vandalizing several mailboxes Thursday in the Meadowbrook West subdivision.
