A dear friend of mine, Jo Ann Jones, a student at MU in the late 1940s, loaned me several issues of the Missouri Showme magazine from 1949 and 1950. Students started Showme, a somewhat controversial humor magazine, after the war and continued publishing off and on until 1963.
