PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

Offense Justin Eiken
Senior quarterback had a hand in all six of his team’s touchdowns during a 41-21 win against Warsaw in Wardsville. Eiken tossed four touchdown passes and rushed for two others in the Tri-County Conference victory. He rushed for 127 yards and passed for 289, completing 17 of 27 passes with no interceptions. Eiken leads the area in passing yards and ranks sixth in rushing. Defense Bryce Enyard
Junior linebacker took over the team lead in tackles by recording 18 stops in the Hornets’ 48-15 win at Schuyler County. Enyard made 14 solo tackles — three went for losses — to lead a stingy defensive unit that allowed only 92 rushing yards on 44 attempts. He also collected a quarterback sack, defended a pass and scored two rushing touchdowns to help the Hornets improve to 3-1. Special Teams Ryan Sherman
Big-play senior was up to his old tricks again, returning a kickoff and a punt for touchdowns in the state-ranked Falcons’ 62-0 win at Sacred Heart in Sedalia. Sherman returned a Gremlins punt 81 yards and took a kickoff back 55 yards on his only two returns of the night. He also added three rushing touchdowns in the game and kicked four extra points.
