Computers missing at elementary school
Published Tuesday, September 23, 2008
Two desktop computers are missing at New Haven Elementary School, prompting Columbia police to investigate a possible theft. Principal Cindy Giovanini said the computers, which were still in boxes, were in the school’s media center on Friday but not yesterday. District administrators are trying to find out whether they were inadvertently taken to another school building. Giovanini said the school was not broken into, nor did the building’s alarms sound. "It’s hard to know, because" district computer technicians "come and go," she said. "We’re still investigating."
