Galbraith-Carney

A Nov. 1, 2008, wedding is planned by Sonya Galbraith and William Carney.

Parents of the engaged couple are Barbara Swanson of Jefferson City, the late John Swanson, the late William Carney and the late Myrtle Callahan, and stepfather Rainey Francis Callahan of Edgar Springs.

The future bride, a graduate of Jefferson City High School, received a bachelor’s degree in communication from the University of Missouri and a master’s degree in human services from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas. She is an adjunct instructor of human services and journalism at Columbia College.

The future groom, a graduate of Fort Zumwalt High School in O’Fallon, received a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in history from Truman State University in Kirksville and a master’s degree in public administration from MU. He is director of online academic programs and adjunct instructor in history at Columbia College.
