Epsilon Sigma Alpha and Sunrise Optimist Club are sponsoring an adult co-ed kickball tournament and washer’s Tournament at camp Hickory Hill on Saturday. ACLU will sponsor a free grassroots leadership training at 9 a.m. on Saturday at the MU School of Law, 203 Hulston Hall, Room 7. The training will focus on civil liberties issues and how to more successfully engage legislators, media and fellow community memers. A continental breakfast and lunch will be provided to attendees.

144th anniversary of the Centralia Massacre and Battle will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the site of the Battle of Centralia, three miles south of Centralia. Drive east on Gano Chance Drive from Jefferson Street. The historic play starts at 6:30 p.m., and a token charge of $4 will be required for the day’s events. Children 12 and under are free. There will be Civil War displays, storytellers, guided wagon rides on the battlefield, food vendors and more.

49th annual Boone County Art Show will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. next Sunday at Boone County National Bank at Eighth St. and Broadway. Any Boone County resident or member of the Columbia Art League 18 years of age or older can submit two works completed in the last year. Artist entry forms and instruction sheets are available at any Boone County National Bank, www.cal.missouri.org, www.boonebank.com and the Columbia Art League, 207 S. 7th annual Walk Back in Time with historical camps, plays, food and more will be Friday, Saturday and next Sunday at Graceland Mansion, 501 S. Muldrow, Mexico, Mo. Friday will be devoted to educational programs for local school children followed by a fish and chicken fry from 4 to 8 p.m. and a presentation of "The Magnificent Ben Franklin" from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday programs open at 10 a.m. Tickets are $5 and purchased through the Audrain County Historical Society at 851-3910.
