Columbia office seeks
flood damage tally
Published Saturday, September 20, 2008
The Columbia/Boone County Office of Emergency Management is preparing preliminary damage assessments for both public assistance and individual assistance for flash-flood losses that occurred last weekend. People with uninsured personal property or business losses are encouraged to contact the Office of Emergency Management at 874-7400, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday to be included in countywide damage assessments. Local, state and federal teams will be in Boone County next week. Disaster declarations are based on a countywide per-capita dollar loss only after a state disaster declaration has been granted.
