Fall flair
By CAROLINE DOHACK of the Tribune’s staff

By CAROLINE DOHACK
I’d been waiting for this since July. As I sweltered through the weekends, I dog-eared ads for fall collections, dreaming of cooler weather. You can keep your shorts, sunglasses and gladiator sandals. Give me pencil skirts, scarves and riding boots.

Tip-top shape

Measuring the worth of melons

By JAN WIESE-FALES
Melons have made only sporadic appearances in the gardens here at Mole Hill, mostly because that also describes the luck we’ve had growing them.
