Salute to America

Julia Robinson photo
Zach Milligan, a University of Missouri defensive lineman and Army Reserve veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom, carries the flag while leading the Tigers football team yesterday onto Faurot Field. A crowd of 54,202 attended what MU called the “Salute to America” game, which included a tribute to military veterans and a B-2 bomber flyover. Chase Daniel led Missouri to a 69-17 victory over Nevada and staked his claim to another school record yesterday on Faurot Field. With an 80-yard touchdown toss to Jeremy Maclin in the first quarter, Daniel overtook Brad Smith as Missouri’s career leader in passing yards.
