Blunt seeks federal aid for flooding from Ike

JEFFERSON CITY (AP) - Gov. Matt Blunt wants federal disaster aid for last month’s flooding from Hurricane Ike. The governor’s office estimated yesterday that flooding caused $11.8 million in damage to public infrastructure in parts of Missouri. The governor is requesting individual aid for residents of the counties of Audrain, Boone, Callaway, Chariton, Christian, Cole, Gasconade, Howell, Lewis, Lincoln, Linn, Marion, Montgomery, Osage, Pettis, St. Charles, St. Louis, Schuyler, Scott, Stone, Taney, Texas, Webster and Wright, plus the city of St. Louis. Blunt is seeking public assistance for the counties of Adair, Audrain, Barry, Bollinger, Butler, Callaway, Cape Girardeau, Carter, Chariton, Christian, Clark, Crawford, Dent, Douglas, Dunklin, Howard, Howell, Knox, Lewis, Lincoln, Linn, Madison, Maries, Marion, Miller, New Madrid, Oregon, Ozark, Perry, Ralls, Ray, Reynolds, Ripley, Ste.
