MU panel to discuss U.S. financial crisis

The University of Missouri Trulaske College of Business is hosting a panel discussion tomorrow about the nation’s financial crisis.

The event, which is free and open to the public, is scheduled for 3:45 p.m. at Bush Auditorium in Cornell Hall on the MU campus. The discussion will focus on the nation’s financial crisis and its effect on the American economy, the country’s financial system and individuals.

The panel will include W.D. Allen, visiting assistant professor of finance, Trulaske College of Business; Andrew Beverley, chairman and CEO of First National Bank & Trust Co.; John Howe, Missouri Bankers chairman, Trulaske College of Business; Bill Little, president of Quam-Nichols Co. of Chicago; Karen Schnatterly, assistant professor of management, Trulaske College of Business; and Judy Starr, chief financial officer of Boone County National Bank.

Bruce Walker, Lansford Professor of Leadership and Dean of the Trulaske College of Business, will moderate the discussion.
