Palmyra blasts Centralia in softball Playing for the Clarence Cannon Conference regular-season championship yesterday at home, the Centralia softball team fell to Palmyra 10-0. Amber Duncan (8-1) took the loss for Centralia (18-3). Taylor Baxter was the winning pitcher. Felicia McCann had two hits for the Panthers. Emily Koster and Jordan Meyers both added a hit in the loss. Blue Jays rally in second half for win The Westminster men’s soccer team scored a pair of second-half goals to defeat Harris-Stowe State 3-1 in a nonconference game yesterday in St. Louis. Ryan Orf scored in the first half, enabling the Blue Jays (5-6) to enter intermission tied 1-1 with Harris-Stowe (4-8). Nenad Stamatovic tallied the winner, and Orf netted his team-high seventh goal of the season to round out the scoring. Taylor Webb recorded a pair of saves to earn his fifth win of the season in goal.
