Actors to stump for Obama at MU
Published Friday, October 3, 2008
More Hollywood celebrities will visit the University of Missouri this weekend to stump for Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama. Taye Diggs, of ABC’s "Private Practice," and wife Idina Menzel, who both starred on Broadway and on screen in the musical "Rent," will appear from 4:30 to 6 p.m. tomorrow afternoon on MU’s Lowry Mall alongside actress Aisha Tyler, who has appeared in a number of television shows such as "Friends" and "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation." The actors will encourage students to register to vote and will stump for Obama. The event is free to the public. Last week, actor Don Cheadle was on campus Thursday for a similar event.
