JoAnn Pruett, 1938-2008

JoAnn Pruett, 70, of Columbia passed away Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008, at home after a battle with cancer.

A memorial visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, at Memorial Funeral Home.

JoAnn was born Feb. 4, 1938, the daughter of Melissa Jewel and Conrad Thornton.

JoAnn was retired from University Hospital and American Air Filter.

Survivors include three daughters, Rhonda Woody, Sharon Pruett and Carla Barnhart, all of Columbia; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; one sister; and one brother.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Billy Joe Martin; two sisters, Charlotte Gish and Mary Ellen; and one son, Billy Pruett.
