FULTON — When Bob Schembre
arranged to meet with Westminster football Coach John Welty last spring, his
stated reasons were to talk about his sons, who had previously played for the
Blue Jays, and to give Welty a tip about a recruit who was dying to join the
team. After about a half-hour of small talk, Welty asked about this mystery
recruit.
