Cougars complete four-game sweep In Fort Myers, Fla., catcher Stephanie Stowe had a 5-for-7 day with three RBI as Columbia completed a four-game sweep of Cardinal Stritch with victories of 3-2 and 4-0 in a doubleheader at the Gene Cusic Collegiate Classic. The Cougars won 4-0 and 9-1 Thursday. In the opener, Amanda Hodges drew a bases-loaded walk in the seventh inning to complete Columbia’s comeback victory. The Cougars (12-9) gave up a pair of unearned runs in the first inning before rallying. Lindsey Williams put Columbia on the board with a home run in the bottom of the first then tied the game on Stowe’s sacrifice fly in the fifth. Katie McMahon (6-5) gave up three hits while striking out nine in the win. Meghan Bailey (5-4) equaled those numbers in the Game 2 victory. Stowe’s home run highlighted a four-run fifth inning for the Cougars.
