Thought essential for creation of all things Editor, the Tribune: In reading all the comments about evolution versus creationism for the last several weeks, none has puzzled me more than the Trib Talk caller in the June 7 paper who believes "all things are the result of nature."
Oregon senator’s Republican caucus of one is likely to grow
By GEORGE WILL Last month in Iraq, Sen. Gordon Smith, the Oregon Republican, had lunch with three soldiers from his state, one of whom had been working with an Iraqi officer training police cadets. That soldier told Smith that when the cadets learned that the Iraqi officer was a Catholic, they stoned him to death.
