Boone County firefighter Mike Renner takes a stick out from under the hood of a car that caught fire yesterday in the driveway of 1143 Roseta Ave. Car owner Pestina Taylor said she had parked the car, gone inside and fallen asleep for a nap when she was awakened by a loud bang. Outside, she found her car fully engulfed in flames. Taylor said the car had been running hot lately. Firefighters quickly put out the blaze and stopped it from spreading to the duplex where she lived. No one was injured.
