State politics skewed by ultra-conservatives

Editor, the Tribune: I haven’t seen so much criticism of our nice little community and university since the Nazis were in town earlier this year.

If it’s so bad here, why not just move to the nirvana of Jefferson City, Cape Girardeau, Carthage or wherever like-minded Republicans call home? Maybe you can hang out with Rod Jetton and Co. at the Precious Moments museum.

Good for Sen. Chuck Graham to stand up for a principle. The problem isn’t with Graham; the problem is with the flat-earth society that has taken over the GOP. The problem is with too much power concentrated in one party in Jefferson City that has shed reasonable people from its ranks. Roger Wilson and Joe Moseley never had to deal with the likes of this.

You know it’s bad when you see Republicans calling Hank Waters a liberal! Whatever happened to the Jack Danforth wing of the Republican Party?
