What’s different? Five changes at the Twilight Festival

What’s different? Five changes at the Twilight Festival
LARK AT THE PARK The Commerce Bank Kids’ Camp, featuring a bounce house, animal balloon making, entertainers and other activities, is moving from Courthouse Square to Flat Branch Park.
STREET CLOSURES Ninth Street between Broadway and Cherry Street will be closed to create a pedestrian mall and concert area. Fourth Street between Cherry and Locust streets also will be closed.
GIDDYUP Carriage rides will depart from two new locations: Flat Branch Park and the corner of Tenth Street and Broadway. Sign-up for rides begins at 5:45 p.m., and 10-minute rides run from 6 to 8 p.m.
BIKE ON DOWN The city’s Parks and Recreation Department and the PedNet Coalition will provide valet bike parking near Kids’ Camp at Flat Branch Park and hand out a limited supply of free T-shirts for those who ride to the festival.
MORE MUSIC Blue Note owner Richard King booked national acts on a larger stage for the weekly free concert series and moved the venue from Courthouse Square to Ninth and Cherry streets. “What you’ll see in terms of the music, I think, is more acts that are touring the country promoting their records,” King said.
