Apparently, Chris Dominguez likes playing the villain. When the Louisville third baseman hit the go-ahead home run in the eighth inning Sunday night, he barked at the Missouri players and dugout throughout his long, slow home-run trot, drawing the ire of the Tigers and their fans.

Louisville gets last word in regional to remember

After Sunday’s night’s dramatic victory over Missouri, Louisville baseball Coach Dan McDonnell hoped in vain that the crimes against humility perpetrated by third baseman Chris Dominguez wouldn’t overshadow what the gritty Cardinals had accomplished in the Columbia Regional.

Chip shot dooms Mabry at Open qualifier

MISSION HILLS, Kan. - There was a quiver in his voice as Chris Mabry spoke only a dozen or so paces off the 18th green at Indian Hills Country Club, site of one of 14 sectional qualifiers played yesterday to finalize the field for the 2007 U.S. Open.
