Storm wins SMSG gold

The Mid-Missouri Basketball Club Storm 11-and-under girls basketball team defeated the Rolla Roadrunners 35-23 for the Show-Me State Games gold medal Sunday.

Team members were Corrie Smith, Sophie Cunningham, Jordan Matthews, Cheyanna Weaver, Mikayla Logan, Lindsay Smith, Gabby McKee, Mahajanae Prince and Queen Cobbins. The team was coached by Steve Weaver and Megan Matthews.

Correction

Petey Lattimer placed eighth in the 13-14 girls 50-meter freestyle and seventh in the 13-and-over girls 800 freestyle in the Missouri Valley Division II long-course championships last weekend. MacKenzie Godsey placed seventh in the 13-14 girls 100 meter freestyle.
