Sugar and spice
Published Thursday, July 26, 2007
Definitely a chick flick with good taste, Catherine Zeta-Jones portrays a top-notch female chef whose world is turned upside down when she must care for a niece after her sister is killed. She adapts to a different lifestyle and, surprise, uses food as a means to express her roller-coaster life. And did we mention there is a love interest? The actress did some research for the role with USA Weekend reporting that she worked for one evening as a server at Fiamma Osteria in New York in preparation for her role. When customers remarked on how much their server resembled Zeta-Jones, she would reply, "I hear that all the time." No reservations Stars: Catherine Zeta-Jones, Aaron Eckhart, Patricia Clarkson, Jennifer Wade Director: Scott Hicks Rating: PG-13 for some thematic elements, sexual material, a brief accident scene and language. Theater: Stadium 14
