Charlie Kane, of Clarence, Mo., rides past a stack of blocks on the hitch attached to his horses as he warms them up before the Farm Team Horse Pull Monday in the arena at the Boone County Fair. Eleven teams participated. Each team of horses, controlled by their owner, must pull a sled of cinder blocks 20 feet. Each round the weight is increased. The team that pulls the most weight wins.
