Obituary: Roger Sublett

Roger F. Sublett, 68, of Harrisburg died Thursday, Jan. 11, 2001, at his home.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, at First Assembly of God Church with the Revs. Charles Parker and Cliff Cato Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Red Rock Cemetery in Harrisburg. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 12, at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Nilson Funeral Home.

Mr. Sublett was born July 9, 1932, in Boone County to Joab and Ruth Lee Anderton Sublett.

He married Barbara Jean Level on July 15, 1950, in Columbia, and she survives.

He retired as assistant superintendent of the Columbia Power Plant after 44 years of service. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church and had farmed in Harrisburg since 1960.

Survivors also include six sons, Roger Sublett, Steven Sublett, Greg Sublett, Timothy Sublett and Kevin Sublett, all of Harrisburg, and David Sublett of St. Louis; three brothers, Joab Sublett Jr. and Roy Sublett, both of Columbia, and Duane Sublett of Rocky Mount; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
